This week we were assigned the task of taking pictures about how quarantine has affected our school lives. We could show positive or negative affects in our photographs, or even both. Here are my representations of how quarantine has had an impact on my life. For this picture I had the idea that since we are doing online school, I won't need to carry my backpack on my back anymore, but I still have it on the back of the chair I sit on. It is a good think that I don't have to carry my backpack around all day, but I did find it funny that it still ends up being so close to me all day. I really like this photo because of the irony in it. The clock and the blackboard say thinks like "family time", 'friends and family gather here", and "welcome" while there are masks hanging from the board and my brother sits alone. He's still in his pajama's and his hair is still a mess from sleeping. It really shows the difference between how things used to be and how they are now. This might be my favorite picture. One of the best things about this quarantine is that I've been able to get back into reading. I love to read outside and quarantine has opened the door for me to enjoy such things once again. I have the focus on the book, which has the title doors on it to symbolize the previous sentences, and the rest of the picture is out of focus because of two things. First off, when reading the world seems to fade away, especially if it's a really good story. Second, since quarantine has started the world has been shifting out of focus for a lot of people. There is so much happening that it's hard to focus on one thing.
